rockandroll

sum 41 - with me, i think this has to be one of my favourite songs of all time its just beautiful and awesome

rowena and i were reflecting upon the past just yesterday night and realised we don't listen to any more rock? and i dont know why? i mean it has to be one of my favourite genres of music as there is so much... emotion and passion in the music itself not to mention the lyrics sometimes used. when i first heard the song "with me" on a promo for gossip girl i instantly feel in love with it, its such a amazing and beautiful song both the music and the lyrics.

on another note, today was my last athletics carnival - it was an interesting one. didnt take much photos but had fun!

i was also reading khanhs blog before and he mentioned that he was a unmelodramatic person, and ive come to realize that i am the total opposite. lol hahha ok well im not extremely dramatic but i think i tend to over-react in certain situations and the need for me to do so was not necessary however i do it anyway, its just something that i do and cannot really control. it just happens, i dont know... i think it might build up more excitement and interest. but i guess thats how i would take news. just thought id share that with yous all =)

HSC timetables come out TOMORROW!!! OMG! i cant wait to see em as im scared to see what the order of my subjects are, so far im hoping it goes - english, maths or physics, ancient and art. please do NOT jam any on the same day or ill die...

just in time

I dont know what to do... go with the flow... but i don’t think i can really do that now.. especially this part of my life, being the most important year of my life. I keep telling myself – leave it and just go with it but ill always end up thinking about it and i think right now its just a huge distraction that i really do not need whatsoever.

I really hate it! You give me mixed signals and i don’t understand? I need to just get away from this – thank god for school – itll just be the distraction i need! I mean, you really are awesome but i don’t know... only time will tell how everything will go... be patient bryan.

I hope my thoughts and my time will now be diverted to school and i hope i get distracted so i won’t waste so much of my time thinking. It’s not that i don’t want to – but its just taking over my thoughts and mind, and i find it really annoying knowing that sometimes you don’t feel the same way.

farewell...

Pussycat dolls – out of this club

Duuuuuudeeee i don’t want to go back to school! Im enjoying it right here, sitting here in bed warming myself up and just doing nothing. But i guess i’ve got to say goodbye to all this until after the HSC finishes... i think i have thoroughly enjoyed myself these holidays – i actually went out quite a lot and had a blast! Well i guess i should because it is my last holiday – holiday as the next two consists of STUDYING!! Two more effing terms! Two more!!

Oh how i dislike you school... anyway umm yeh back to these holidays, i think it has been very rewarding as i have both kinda studied *worked on ancient and art* and also went out. Umm total expenses was quite a lot but was worth it. I had fun and thanks everyone for making it fun. These holidays has to be one of the most eventful holidays ive had not as eventful as last holidays as i was overseas but i think i’ve learnt a lot about myself about these holidays. Mainly about how i act with others and how my mind works in relation to specific situations. Thanks to row for guiding and helping me realise and work on these issues, you really are just awesome.

On another note – you confuse me!!!

is it too early??

a night to remember

So yesterday – Tuesday, I enjoyed an evening out with my friends and it really was just so much fun! I love you guys to death, you’re all awesome! Deciding to meet up at three, we left at 3:30 LOL. All good. Got to the city around 4:30 I think and we decided to leave the karaoke – yes that still exists, for later after dinner. So in the meantime we hung around the harbor and took fabulous photos.

For dinner we had hurricanes, which was absolutely delicious! Karaoke was probably the funniest part of the night. Kudos to Cathy v and khanh for being the most “into it” when it comes to singing the songs HAHA! Took more fabulous photos – leaving karaoke, I think most of us still had the karaoke feel in our bodies and kind of sang when walking around Chinatown – LOL. We then headed for some ice cream, fish balls and drinks at Y2K. Goodstuff. We then called it quits and trained it back home. It was probably the most enjoyable night of my holidays so far.
Thank you soo much everyone for coming, I love yous all!

its complicated...

It really does suck – it’s annoying and I just hate the feeling. I hate it!

I know my life seems to be on the right track and I do not disagree, everything is just fine, but I just think sometimes why does it have to happen like that? There is always a complication to everything, ok well maybe not everything but things that I’m just really interested in. I know Rowena, I’m thinking too much, but seriously, I can’t help it, and I hate that about myself, all I do is just think it over and over and I can’t get it out of my head and that is what sucks. Maybe the things are not really complicated it’s just my head makes it that way and I can’t stop.

I know I shouldn’t be worrying about this, especially now. And that’s another to add, the timing of these things are really just isn’t great, at all. I don’t know what to do to stop this – no I don’t have some addiction or anything it’s just this thing I have where I tend to over-think and complicate the issue or thing I have and just have myself worry about it more, and I shouldn’t. It’s funny because I tell myself that and I get over it, but there is always something that comes along and reminds me of it and the cycle starts again. Sometimes it’s just better to not get involved, well in my case that is, and just leave it. I know I should just leave it and let it go – but the thing is its hard and I hate this.

its really just psyching myself out and i agree with row, its inappropriate and i seriously should just relax and just go with it. but here comes my head again - i hate you! - not you, my brain.

its raining and im stuck inside all day

listening to rowena and vee, YOU HAVE A BAD CONNECTION!

"strawberries, they smell so nice... and they're so cheap at the markets - yum yum yum - guys! - its so nice guys! - i feel like dipping this in chocolate..." - rowena, 19/04/09

she wont stop talking about it! i asked her.. what i should blog about and she replied on a totally different note - strawberries - she had strawberries it wasnt a notion for me to blog about them. sorry weird.

ok so yesterday rowena alex cathy v thanh jeffery and myself went to vees house to play poker haha it was fun. i won the first round but apparently we were playing it wrong and started all over again and so i wasnt rich anymore. infact - i lost and went into debt. thanh ill pay you back when i have the money. note we were playing with monopoly money because we didnt have chips. the night was fun and interesting, we made a short film - its untitled so far but has some killer actors/actresses, storyline and of course awesome camera skills.

today, i think my highlight of the day today would be so you think you can dance as i am not doing anything at the momment and for the remaining of the day. the weather today is awesome - dark gloomy and raining. i like it as it makes me want to stay in bed and watch movies. however i am not, i just like the idea.

on another topic, what happens when you die? lol no sorry i wont.

time for the inspiration!

so i started the day heading to liverpool to do some shopping, by myself. haha i bought these pair of jeans that were 50 =). umm spent about an hour there before heading to pick up rowena khanh cathy and eyvette. we then made our way to the armory which wasnt that long of a drive.

im sorry i might go all "artsy" on yous all.

the place reminded me of cockatoo island. It had that kind of old abandoned colonial atmosphere but it was pretty awesome. i walked into the gallery, and let me say - the artworks were AMAZING. i think they were WAYY better than the ones that were exhibited at the NSW art gallery and i think mainly because the artworks here were the original sizes with the original number of pieces in the artwork - so mainly they were large scale artworks, which i like. looking at the artworks displayed here, I'd have to say the dominating medium would have to be photography with the use of b-shutter. not much to say but just wow - i think the concepts in the armory are much stronger however the material practice and technique are better at the nsw gallery. my favourite artwork of the day? id have to go with - "reflections collide" by stephanie lane and "From the ashes" by Rochelle Merrick.these two artworks i believe are just absolutely amazing.

"reflections collide" - i love the use of colour and photography throughout this artwork, it reminds me of mitchell funk. the concept is also just so strong. one of my favourite techniques this years art express students use is the reflection with the use of paint. this idea is specifically shown in one of the artworks at the nsw art gallery.

"from the ashes" - the intricacy of each twig being glued together then layered to give an industrialised feel/look is absolutely outstanding. i just love this artwork for its structure - the stength in creates and the solidness enhances the concept and the way the sculpture looks.

hahha wow i did go on about art, well im sorry if you thought it was an absolute waste of time, thats what you get for reading my blogs, i hope i dont bore you out too much.

by the way - cathy you definately proved rowena wrong! your great with directions! thanks!

i like you

hahah, so i was suppsed to blog about my day at the show, but thanks to vee and khanh, i was persuaded, by my own will, to attempt this activity - mine isn't as great as khanh's, its pretty obvious but i still mean it, i loves you all!

Thinking from the top of my head, the first 10 people that comes to mind and what i think about them. My friends are really just amazing – i seriously love everyone one of them. They are seriously, the best people i have ever met and i hope it will stay that way.

1. You are one of the first people I run to, to seek some logic, I love the way you think and you really are smart. I know we don’t talk so much but you will be one of those people i could always rely on. I love you so much.

2. *sings* we’ve been friends for so long, I can’t deny it, it stops there. You are so funny. I absolutely love your sense of humour and I could see you there standing as one of the “best men” on my wedding day. You’re truly awesome.

3. Wow, i can definitely ALWAYS depend on you - I don’t know where i would be without this you. Really – YOU ARE THE BEST.

4. It started off weird, but now you have become one of those important people in my life that i can always depend on when i need a hearing or just a smile on my face. I’m so glad I let it happen and i wouldn’t change it at all – I love our inside jokes.

5. Even though we don’t talk as much – you always find a way to spike up a conversation. When I’m down, you will always try to cheer me up. I love your enthusiasm.

6. We’ve definitely had our differences but I have learnt to just forget about it. We hit it off great but as time passed i guess people change – well all i know is ill be trying to get it back to what it was before.

7. I can go on and on about you – thanks for always always being there for me. I love you so much words cannot describe you have dramatically changed my perception on life.

8. You have given me a different view of life, a different view of what the world could be and that I thank you.

9. You are just so fun to be with – you make me look dumb at times but at the same time, you make yourself look dumb and i just find it hilarious.

10. I don’t know what happened to this person, we used to be awesome but now we hardly talk and i find it hard to try and find things to talk about. i miss the old times, but i hope that won’t be just a memory.

On another note the events which occurred today goes as follows –

Went to cut my hair to a mowhalk as usual but encountered something so... “AHHH” but we’ll leave it there. I think accompanied my mother to Liverpool to get some groceries, nothing eventful happening there. Coming out of the car park, row and vee called me and ask if i wanted to join them at rows place to “hang” and so i did what a normal person would do and reject their invitation. No, that’s mean, of course i came. We hung out made stupid remarks and watched Charlie the unicorn 2 and concluded that the two annoying retarded “friends” were row and vee and i being the depressed sad Charlie. I agree with the annoying “friends” but the character Charlie may be a bit exaggerated for me, i don’t think I’m that emo. We played monopoly which was quite fun however i was being cheap and rude according to row and vee, which i think not? I mean that’s how you’re supposed to play monopoly, especially if you’re an Asian... haha sorry that was racist. Anyway made my way home at about 5 and just relaxed and chatted with some awesome people.

Tomorrow Khanh, Rowena, Cathy vu, Eyvette and i are heading to the armoury in Homebush to check out the artexpress exhibition held there. I cannot wait – I’m so excited and I’m ready to be inspired – hopefully. We then plan to head to Marrickville and go to the reverse garbage place and check out the junk there and hopefully i find some things i could use for my BOW. I’m extremely excited! I’ll be back tomorrow to fill you in!

Until then i will leave you all to – its 11:11! Lol

I will leave you all to enjoy the rest of your night.

to work or not to work?

kevin rudolf - welcome to the world

first off, HAPPY EASTER YA'LL =)
hope you had an enjoyable weekend!

well easter sunday happend like this...
my family and i decided we should go for yum cha - so we went to the one in rhodes/homebush, and it was delightful.
headed back to aunts place in bankstown and had an AWESOME easter egg hunt - they(my aunties) hid about like 40 eggs hahaha it was so fun =D
for dinner we headed out again, for some korean bbq - which was even better! bassina i think its called? lol somewhere in stratty. recommended.

its funny, my family is buddhist, however we celebrate these kinds of holidays like we are christian and i think its just mainly that we've got days off and got nothing better to do so we celebrate, lol.

on a totally different note, i was suggested to blog about - "should students work or recieve youth allowence" by chris and so i shall attempt to explore this issue, if you call it that?so here it goes. the title of the issue pretty much explains it all but yeh,
when your in yr 12 i guess theres really no time for working, i mean studying and getting good marks is the number one priority and so where would you find the time to work? working also brings about tiredness and distraction and that disrupts your ability to focus on school. ok so i just asked chris if he was being serious about this.. and it was really a suggestion so, continuing on, getting youth allowence, i beleive is just getting it easy - the students dont need to work for it and getting it for "educational purposes" is actually not the correct way to put it. well some do use it as that, but the rest... not likely. i think when comparing the two, working is much more, say morally correct, as it does teach the person to take responsibility and earn their money rather than having it given to them. this is a pretty tough decision actually, it seems to be a bit contradictive, well not the question but the two ideas of working and youth allowence. so when your working youve got no time for studying and etc, however i dont know if this is just me but when you get youth allowence, you've got money, well obviously but doesnt that open up possibilities to actually go and spend that money? so equally either choices would take up time? i dont know, this is just my brain thinking. theres many points you could argue but im not going to continue and allow you to have a think about it. its late i dont know if anything i said made sense?

enjoy the rest of your long weekend and to the schoolers - enjoy the holidays =)
ill be back tomorrow with news from the show!

time to sleep, eat and watch movies

coldplay - yellow

so i would first like to thank you rowena for doing such an awesome job with this blogskin, i love it - its amazing. thank you so much -

so hopefully, from this new skin, i would blog more often and i feel the need that i should, since i am at a turning point in my life where i undergo dramatic life changing events such as the hsc exams and making uni preferences. from bloggging i hope to vent my thoughts about school friends etc, as i dont want to keep it all bottled in my head, this means that most of my blogs will be me complaining about something... haha

alright so ive made it through the first week of my three week holidays as i finished all my exams in the first week... that killed. umm i cant/dont want to say much about my exams, i dont really know, physics... was just plain bad, however everything else i believe i did was alright - knocks on wood. so starting my first week of the holidays, was saturday - rowena and i decided to get some shopping done, which i have not done in awhile, so we headed for DFO and parra. amazingly i did not BUY much but i SPENT a lot. i know how is that possible, well lets just say rowena suggested i buy the sexy jacket from roger david which was extremely expensive, however it was worth it.
i also bought this side bag from roger david, i know, but it was only 20 so thought i might as well.

it was a tiring day i must confess, driving all that way then walking around two shopping complexes. but i had fun, something i hadn't had in awhile- not emo, sudying for exams. this was a week ago so my memory on this is very very faint. we decided to also visit our beloved VEE and bought some ice cream from mccas for her. the day ended with some movies at home in bed.

the following week, not much happend, had an ANZAC ceramony i had to do but not a very eventful week as i just wanted to lay in bed watching movies and catching up on things i believe i have missed. yesterday - friday i decided i should get the car washed so invited rowena to come and wash the car - that failed. haha. however we did some hanging out at her house picked up chris and grabbed a bite to eat and vist cathy and did some guitar hero'ing. it was good to catch up. had fun.

so the holidays are still going for two more weeks and i planned what i wanted to do for the next two weeks.
-visit the armory
-go to reverse garbage
-finish ancient assignment
-start on physics assignment
-start on bow

i wanted to blog about quite a number of other things but ill leave that for next time, im sure i have wasted some time from your lives already,
until then - have an awesome long weekend, enjoy yourselves and take care!
